My grandmother name is Bunny. I chose the name myself when Rachel had her first baby, wanting to get ahead of any poorly chosen grandmotherly names that might stick without my consent. Her children affectionately call me Bunny, and I can’t wait for the day when more little ones do the same.
Bunny’s Brew is a fun punch I served for the first time at Halloween two years ago. The concoction is a cinch to throw together, requiring a total of four ingredients, one of which is dry ice for dramatic flair.
A note about dry ice. You can make this punch without it. You can also hurt yourself or others with dry ice, so do take care when handling it and never store it in a closed container (including your freezer).
This punch is the perfect shade of green for a Halloween gathering, and it will serve a crowd. I like to let the sherbet thaw for a bit on the counter before adding it.
I call this Bunny’s Brew, but you are welcome to change the name to suit your setting. Maybe it’s Memaw’s Mixer or Sarah’s Spooky Sipper or PawPaw’s Punch. The options are endless to make this fun punch your own. Happy Halloween!
