I counted, and I discovered I have been publishing these weekly outfit posts for ten weeks! It’s good to stop and celebrate the small victories. To note the occasion, I have a question for you.
If you regularly read these posts, do you find them helpful? Specifically, do you find the product links to be something you click on? Or are you more interested in seeing ways to wear certain items together, even if the items are no longer available to purchase?
One of the reasons I love creating these posts is because it serves as a source of accountability for me, and it allows me to share an authentic glimpse of what I wear in real life every day. I also love sharing sources on items that are working well in my closet, and I want to continue providing value for you as a reader, so let me know what you think!
SATURDAY

On Saturday I had most of the day to myself, and I spent my time staying indoors, drinking cold beverages (currently on a Topo kick), catching up on work, and watching Suits on Netflix. Anyone else into this show?

SUNDAY

Lillian came home from church camp on Sunday, and we celebrated her birthday with a family dinner featuring Sushi Bowls and Ice Cream Sundaes.

MONDAY

I had a big day at Hurley House Monday as we launched our Fall Edit and kicked off our busiest season of the year. The day went smoothly, and I felt cute and comfortable in jeans and a puff-sleeve shirt. Blingy earrings for the win.

TUESDAY

On Tuesday I woke up with a crick in my neck and shoulders, which left me reaching for easy jeans, easy shoes, easy shirt, easy headband. Comfort dressing at its best.
WEDNESDAY

Remember that storage unit from last week that I intended to clean out but then couldn’t because the keys were in the car that Timm took to the airport? This week I made sure I had the keys, dressed appropriately, and then got to it. It was a lot of work, but not near as bad as I anticipated.

THURSDAY

Did I wear all blue in celebration of Taylor’s announcement of 1989 (Taylor’s Version)? I did. Being a Swiftie is the most fun, and if you don’t own a giant oversized blue shirt, consider this your invitation to embrace the slouchy menswear look.

FRIDAY

Take a jumpsuit, add cute earrings and a shoe that feels like too much, and you’ve got an outfit that works! In full disclosure I swapped the clogs for sneakers after lunch, but it was a great look while it lasted.

I love to click the links! I still have that summersalt dress in my cart 😉 I’m a big fan of this series
Katherine- I so enjoy your Get Dressed First posts! I do click on the links and just purchased the similar sequin skirt from Belk.
You are also the reason I own 3 Katie Kime shirts. I so Enjoy receiving the Lovely!
Katherine, I don’t read other blogs but I’m hooked on yours. I’ve learned so much from you. At the age of 70, you have shown me how to embrace my body, since I don’t have my younger shape anymore. I LOVE the clothing links. Because of you, I’ve bought shirts from Madewell (a fav of my daughters) and JCrew (and enjoyed the French tuck!) and have bought 3 wide legged pants. Between you and our daughters, I’m sprucing up my wardrobe which is mainly JJill and Talbots, with fun additions from Sundance. Please keep the pictures and links coming!
