These are my four children. From left to right they are Norah, Jake, Annie, and Lillian. Annie is a freshman in high school, Jake is in the eighth grade, Norah is in fourth grade, and Lillian is in second grade.

Jake is a natural artist, quiet yet funny, easy to be around, excellent at puzzles and problem-solving, can play any instrument he picks up, loves the outdoors, and has a knack for asking insightful and interesting questions.
Annie is kind, compassionate, full of astute observations, musical, a natural leader, an excellent big sister, a loyal friend, a deep thinker, and has the gift of making others feel comfortable just as they are.

Lillian is athletic, fiercely affectionate, thoughtful, sweet, brave, tender-hearted, naturally grateful, helpful, and loves animals.
Norah is an avid reader with the vocabulary to prove it, a creator, a maker, an achiever with an exquisite imagination, a story-teller, a talker, and she makes everyone smile.
I love them so. They are each interesting and unique, yet when they are together they fully represent the culture of our family. Talking about them and their lives is something I love to chronicle, and I look forward to sharing more about them with you along the way.
