The Lovely Archives

What is The Lovely?

I like to think of The Lovely as the Katherine Sasser weekly digest. I love collecting thoughts and ideas throughout the week with you in mind.

The Lovely kicks off with a brief bit of candid writing where I share parts of my heart with you as they unfold in real time. The Lovely provides the space for me to share my thoughts and feelings on a number of different topics.

The Lovely contains links to any new blog posts I have published, making it easy for you to see a new recipe or learn about a new aspect of hospitality.

So many people are saying no thank you to social media, and I deeply respect that choice. Others are on social media but can easily miss posts thanks to the algorithm. The Lovely offers a few snippets from my social media posts, making it easy for you to see the highlights from the week without worrying about scrolling.

Finally, The Lovely is where I share a few of my favorite products (with shop-friendly links) in the hopes that you might enjoy them as well. A recommendation from a trusted friend can be an easy way to find the perfect gift for yourself or someone you love.

The Lovely delivers a bit of feeling, a bit of fun, and a whole lot of lovely living to your inbox weekly.

Dear Winter Storm,

Thank you for…everything. We have slept in, watched movies, washed all the sheets, powered through multiple mid-afternoon slumps, and taken the sled out for a few rounds of Please Don’t Break Any Bones. Always a delight.

You’ve made your point. We see you. Thank you for the ice…it’s really beautiful up close. Maybe a bit too much this time, but what do I know?

Anywho, party’s over. It’s time to go. These kids have got to get back to school and so help me if I don’t interact with other adults soon I am really going to lose my marbles.

Here’s your purse and keys, one last hug, can’t wait to see you again, have a safe trip home.

Thanks so much.
Love you.
Bye.

The evening was beautiful, the friends amazing, the drinks incredible, and the secret to all the fun was a twist on traditional hosting rolls.
